Steampunk Events 19 20 September 2009

The Piermont Landing, during July’s Clockwork BallThis weekend proves to be quite a spectacle in New Babbage, with a trio of events taking place this weekend. However, I would like the mention the continuing competition to produce a bit more grunge and grime for New Babbage’s sewers…
… with the Sewer Trash competition! Continuing until September 26th, it is a worthwhile effort to “better” our dear city with a bit of “authenticity”. For more details, please turn to: http://newbabbage.ning.com/events/sewer-trash-build-contest
On Saturday, the Mecurochrome Opera House will open its doors officially, from 4 to 6 pm, SLT. Not quite sure of the exact event taking place, but one can find more information at: http://newbabbage.ning.com/events/mercurochrome-open-house
Of course, the pinnacle of the monthly social events – the Piermont Landing will be holding its monthly event, on Saturday, from 6 to 9 pm, SLT. This month’s theme is “The Engineer’s Formal Black Soot Ball”, and the competition will be focused on a Hot Air Balloon build. Extremely popular, do make it a point of meeting the multitude of New Babbage (and visitors to the City-State)! This month’s event will be “Exhibitionism!”, hosted by the lovely Miss Breezy Carver and the equally lovely Mr. Aeolus Cleanslate (I’m just kidding! Ladies, he is quite the cad, I promise)!
