Piano Desks… from old piano frames!
Trying to catch up with some entries this weekend, but for the time being, I found this novel entry on Lifehacker regarding re-using discarded pianos as work tables… very nicely done, especially as many of these beautiful pianos are simply discarded if their musical interiors are no longer of use. The above work was nice (albeit the “haters” were out in force in the comments – nothing new there, I suppose). Still, I’d say worth a look, with the associated breadcrumbs to their links…

As sad as I am to see a piano repurposed as a desk, at least it is comforting to know that the craftsmanship that went into building the case was not discarded thoughtlessly. And since I have a piano which may never play again, after being subjected to essence de chat and left in the garage, perhaps it will receive a new lease of life someday…

I am finding the captcha almost impossible to read, and even when I think I get it right, it is refused!
