SteamCon 2009 (Updated to include the Virtual Steamlands Salon event)

The entire endevor has a multitude of events taking place, so although I am unable to attend, I was curious what was happening when and conjured the following schedule of events
Though not an official SteamCon event, an “Evening of Cabaresque” will be presented by Miss Oblivious, at the “Can Can”, located in Pike Place Market (downtown Seattle, by the waterfront). For more information, please visit:
http://steampunk.ning.com/events/miss-oblivious-presents-an or http://www.thecancan.com/

The official opening of SteamCon begins at 1200, and includes the following events (times subject to change due to circumstances)
1200 – 1800 Vendor’s room open for business
1200 – 1800 Art exhibition
1200 – 0000 Games Room open
1200 – 0000 The Magic Lantern open
2100 – 0100 DJ Dances

At this point, SteamCon is in full swing! The full spectrum of events will take place, and is certainly where the memorable events that will make SteamCon a success will take place
1000 – 1800 Vendor’s room open for business
1000 – 1800 Art exhibition
1000 – 0000 Games Room open
1000 – 2200 Photo Salon available
1200 – 0000 The Magic Lantern open
2100 – 0100 DJ Dances
1400 – 1600 Tea and Fashion show (separate ticket required)
1200 – 1300 The Sepiachord Companion Listening Event
1300 – 1400 One Beer Prophet
1400 – 1500 Emchy and her Accordion
1500 – 1600 Toy-Box Trio
1600 – 1700 Robert Rial’s Bakelite 78
1700 – 1800 Unwoman
1800 – 1900 Vernonique Chevalier & Seth Bedford
1900 – 2000 Walter Sickert & the Army of Broken Toys
2100 – 0100 Abney Park and Vernian Process concert (separate ticket required)

For those who survived the excitement of Saturday, Sunday still holds an opportunity to partake in a bit of last minute shopping, gaming, and a prospect to keep in touch with new friends in one has met at SteamCon.
1000 – 1600 Vendor’s room open for business
1000 – 1600 Art exhibition
1000 – 1600 Games Room open
1200 – 1600 The Magic Lantern open
Alas, I will simply have to kick the can at not having the opportunity to visit this year’s SteamCon. However, as the event has sold out, and with word of the exciting schedule of events it holds spreads, I am confident that the promise of SteamCon 2010 will be even better!

Thank you for bringing that to my attention, sir! I had checked the Steam-Con list of events, and it failed to make mention of it. I do hope it was a simple oversight, as the SL Steamlands do more to perpetuate Steampunk than many non-SL individuals realize.
Again, ty, sir!
