Your chance to help with an academic Steampunk study!

The other day I had the good fortune of being contacted by a Miss A. Desjardins, who is working on her Masters degree, and is dilligently laboring to complete a study on the construct of objects and costumes in Steampunk.  Needless to say, this is a grand opportunity to add to the growing academic work of Steampunk!  As Miss Desjardins kindly explained…

“Hello everyone!
I am a Masters student at Simon Fraser University – School of Interactive Arts and Technology in Vancouver, BC. I am conducting a study about the practice of making objects and costumes in Steampunk. I am particularly interested in understanding how you use and transform objects, tools and your environment in the practice of your hobby. I would love to meet people who make objects or costumes in a Steampunk fashion. If you are a Steampunk enthusiast, or know anyone who is, please let me know and I will send you more details about the study.
You can contact me at “

If this requests piques your interest, please do send your requests to Miss Desjardins asap!
